Postdoctoral research fellowships
Advanced Studies and Research Regional Mathematical Centre of the Southern Federal University (https://rmc.sfedu.ru) offers 2 visiting research positions in mathematics with start date: July 01, 2020 (or earlier/later upon mutual agreement). The application deadline is May 31st, 2020.
In case COVID-19 quarantine will be prolonged and there will be no possibility to arrive in Rostov-on- Don, the Fellowship can be started in online mode.
The Fellowship is offered for one-year period and is possible to be renewed up to the end of 2021. It is also possible to offer short-term contract until December 31st, 2020 upon mutual agreement.
Southern Federal University offers standard employee benefits and accommodation at University guest residence in walking distance from the Mathematical Center and Mathematical Institute with lowered monthly rental payment around 8 000 Russian Rubles.
The priority will be given to the candidates with background in analysis (function theory, operator theory, harmonic analysis: real and complex variable methods).
Candidate must be either under 35 years for a PhD holder on the date of the application (there must be less than 5 years period since PhD defense) or under 40 years for those PhD’s who possess habilitation or any equivalent second scientific degree or who held recently a Full Professor or equivalent position (in later case 5 years rule does not apply).

2. Participation in conferences, seminars and other events;
3. Grants attraction, building-up research contacts;
4. Development of own scientific and educational projects would be an asset;
5. Engagement in the activities of the Mathematical Center is expected.
Salary, benefits and additional funds.
Monthly salary ranges from 115 000 to 135 000 Russian rubles according to skills of the candidate. There will be additional payments based on activities (scientific results) of the research fellow. Travel support will be available for attending Russian and international conferences. Additional funds for inviting visitors for seminars and research collaboration will be available as well.
