A professor from the National Polytechnic University of Armenia delivered a series of lectures to SFedU students From October 4 to 18 Professor Armenak Babayan from the National Polytechnic University of Armenia delivered a cycle of 5 online lectures on "Boundary value problems of elliptic equations in a unit circle" for undergraduate and graduate math students of mathematical specialties. The event was organized by the Regional Scientific and Educational Mathematical Center of Southern Federal University.

Armenak Babayan, Doctor of Sciences in Physics and Mathematics, Professor at the Department of Specialized Mathematics at the National Polytechnic University of Armenia, has been teaching various math courses at Armenian universities for more than 40 years. His fields of scientific interests are differential equations, complex analysis and numerical methods. The lecture course, proposed by A. Babayan, is based on the author's research and is devoted to two-dimensional theory of boundary value problems for elliptic equations and related problems.

The lectures were devoted to the following sections: boundary value problems for analytic functions, elliptic equations, and boundary value problems for partial differential equations in a unit circle. The series of lectures is organized within the framework of the Program for Development of the Regional Scientific and Educational Mathematical Center of the Southern Federal University for 2022 (Agreement of the RF Ministry of Education and Science № 075-02-2022-893). About 20 math students, including PhD students, from Southern Federal University, attended the lecture course.
