In collaboration with Springer Nature and the Georgian National Academy of Sciences, a series of joint events were held on October 9–10, 2025, in the Presidium Hall of the Georgian National Academy of Sciences. These included an editorial board meeting, a roundtable discussion on AI, and a scientific seminar.
On October 9, 2025, the third open meeting of the extended editorial board of the Journal of Mathematical Sciences (Editor-in-Chief: A.N. Karapetyants) was held. Keynote speakers were: Vice President Alexander Biryukov, Editor-in-Chief Alexey Karapetyants, Publisher Tatiana Golea, and President of the Georgian Mathematical Society Alexander Meskhi. The meeting program included presentations on the journal's development strategy, annual report, scientific ethics, and the use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in scientific peer review and publication promotion. Particular attention was paid to Springer Nature's experience integrating AI into scientific editing processes and ensuring research integrity.
On October 10, a roundtable discussion on the practical aspects of using AI in peer review was held at the same venue. This was followed by a joint scientific VGC seminar led by A.N. Karapetyants and A. Meskhi, in which scientists from China, Israel, Norway, Armenia, and Georgia presented their results.
